Joy Chronicles - 1.1

Joy -- It's literally my middle name. It's my mom's middle name and my daughters middle name! You would think Joy would be well understood and come easily to me.

Not--so--much.

I have so many questions about Joy.

• What is joy, really?

• Where does it come from?

• Why does it disappear so quickly?

• Why is it so easy to lose and so hard to keep?"

And on and on...

Am I alone in this? Do you struggle with finding and holding onto Joy too?

I am thinking that because it is SO prevalent in Scripture it must be a natural and important part of the character of God and God's people. It's even a fruit of the Spirit. (Galatians 5)

And if it reflects God and is important to the child of God, it will be a TARGET of Satan.

I have decided that this critically important, yet illusive reflection of God and target of the enemy needs my focused attention. I am RESOLVED to absorb my heart and mind in joy through my study of Scriptures in the coming weeks, perhaps months.
