Lion of Judah

Feared and respected by all.

Threatened by none.

Fierce and fiercely loyal.

Protecting his Pride.

Defending his territory.

None dares challenge him.

Righteousness and justice are in his gaze.

Who can stand before him?

Hail, the King of Judah!

Judah, your brothers will praise you.

Your hand will be on the neck of your enemies.

Your fathers sons will bow down to you.

Judah, my son, is a young lion that has finished eating its prey.

Like a lion, he crouches and lies down.

Like a lion, who dares rouse him?

The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the rulers staff from his descendants,

until the coming of the One to whom it belongs.

The One whom the nations will honor.

He ties his foal to the grapevine, the colt of his donkey to a choice vine.

He washed his clothes in wine

—His robes in the blood of grapes.

His eyes are darker that wine

— And his teeth are whiter than milk.

Genesis 49:8-12

O, Israel, your king will be greater than Agag

Your Kingdom will be exalted.

God brought them out of Egypt.

For them He is as strong as a wild ox.

He devours all the nations that oppose Him

—Breaking their bones in pieces, shooting them with arrows.

He crouches, He lies down like a lion.

And as a lion, who dares rouse Him?

Blessed is everyone who blesses You.

And cursed is everyone who curses you.

Numbers 24:5-9

Who is worthy to receive the glory, honor and power of creation?

Who is worthy to open the scroll?

Revelation 5:2

Stop weeping, behold the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah,

the Root of David, has overcome.

And I saw a Lamb standing as if slain.

Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals.

For, You were slain and purchased for God, with your blood,

people from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.

Revelation 5:5-9

A voice is calling.

Clear the way of the Lord in the wilderness.

Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God.

Let every valley be lifted up and every mountain and hill be made low.

And let the rough ground become plain.

And the rugged terrain a broad valley.

Then, the glory of the Lord will be revealed.

And all people will see it together.

For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

Isaiah 40:3-5

Behold, the Lion of Judah, your King
