Some of my happiest weather moments are in the hour following a morning thunderstorm in spring or fall. The air  on the other side of the storm is clear and cool. There’s a gentle breeze still blowing. The dark clouds begin to separate revealing blue skies and sunshine. And that contrast of still dark clouds with sunshine, makes everything have a cheerful glow.
