So, Geese have been on my mind lately. Normal, right? Did you know that the Celtic believers in the British Isles depicted the Holy Spirit, not as a dove, but as a Goose. They did this because they saw the Spirit working as One who can’t be tamed. He’s wild. You never really know where he comes from or where he’s going.
Just like Jesus’ description of the Spirit in John 3:8 “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
Like a wild goose, the Holy Spirit is unpredictable, upsetting the status quo and leading people toward a new adventure with God.
So, I’m watching for the wild, unpredictable, uncontrollable, status-quo troubling, noise making wind of the Spirit of God to invade my life! How about you? Are you ready for an adventure following the Spirit of God?

Following Jesus is an adventure? Yes! If you open the Bible and read just a little bit of Acts you’ll quickly see that the apostles were traveling all over the place following the Spirit! Read anywhere in the narratives, Psalms, and prophets and with a bit of imagination the adventures will come alive! Read some church history and biographies of believers over the past 2000 and even 200 years. Yes, following God is anything but boring. Religion… that’s another story. But following God, in the footsteps of Jesus with Holy Spirit as our guide… and every day can bring a new adventure.
So, Ya comin'?
I'd love to hear where you feel the Holy Spirit is leading you this year! SEnd me a quick message on the chat or on email melissajoymiller@gmail.com

Melissa
